AYFT LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

Independent projects-allow each young person to directly impact her environment. Each AYFT member identifies and studies an issue affecting his or her community, guided by a mentor, they then designs, budgets and implements their plan.

Creative Projects includes:

*        Entrepreneurial endeavors

*        Internships/Volunteer work

AYFT has the following ongoing projects:

  • YouthBank Nigeria..

Aim
Create safety and financial security
•Motivate and teach street children/youth saving skills.
•Help develop/impact entrepreneur/management skills in them.
•Create opportunities to begin an economic enterprise.
•Create vocational training children/youth.
•Organize awareness workshops and opportunities.
•Advocate for the fundamental rights of seminars for the children on health development
•To run the Bank on both banking credit known principles.

  • Good Governance project
    Aim: To sensitize/raise and increase awareness of people/civil society to participate in and access to good governance and democratic values.
  • Youth Computer/Internet Development Resource center(YC/IDRC)
    Aim: Youth development and Leadership- To promote training on youth entrepreneurship promote and establish an interactive data-base resource/internet centers, accessible to young people for learning and exchange of youth development methodologies throughout the region.
  • Micro Enterprise
    Aim: To empower young people economically through programmes that support vocational training, provide business education and facilitate access to credit for self employment.

  • Community Health online(CHO)
    Aim:To improve the health of young people through online programmes that; increase their health knowledge, discourage risky behavior, address reproductive health and rights issues and advocate for establishment of young people’s friendly heath services. And lots more....
